Senior Solutions Architect

Overview

In this role as a Senior Solutions Architect focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), you will take ownership of the data architecture within a high-volume online marketplace, leading a significant technology transformation initiative. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement data strategies, optimize architecture for cost management, and facilitate the integration of data science into strategic business processes. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment where your expertise and leadership will help shape the future of the company’s data capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data architecture for a large-scale online marketplace.
  • Lead the optimization of GCP data models with a focus on cost management.
  • Implement strategies for self-service reporting and analytics across the organization.
  • Establish a comprehensive data strategy from the ground up.
  • Guide the restructuring efforts to streamline data team integration under technical leadership.
  • Advise on the development of agentic AI workflows and retail media integrations.
  • Facilitate in-person collaboration during key team meetings and workshops as required.
  • Support the larger data transformation initiatives as they arise.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in senior solutions architecture on large-scale data platforms.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of the GCP data ecosystem, particularly BigQuery, DBT, and Data Stream.
  • Proven experience in designing and optimizing complex GCP data models with a focus on cost efficiency.
  • Track record of implementing self-service reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Ability to create and execute data strategies from scratch.
  • Experience in transitioning reporting systems, particularly away from Looker, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with incorporating data science into commercial teams is desirable.
  • Experience planning and executing large-scale data transformation programs is advantageous.
