Overview
The Senior Test Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in an Agile delivery team, focusing on the development and maintenance of automated testing solutions for complex digital applications and services. Working primarily in a remote capacity, with occasional travel to London, the contractor will leverage their expertise in Java, Selenium, and AWS to enhance the quality of public sector digital projects. The role requires current SC Clearance for compliance with UK government standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated test solutions using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Design and maintain UI and API automation frameworks.
- Test applications, services, and integrations within AWS environments.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Deliver various types of testing including functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and API testing.
- Apply TDD, BDD, ATDD, and continuous testing practices.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners in Agile teams.
- Support continuous improvement of automation frameworks and QA processes.
Requirements
- Strong commercial Test Automation experience.
- Excellent hands-on experience with Java.
- Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience building and maintaining UI and API automation frameworks.
- Commercial experience with AWS and cloud-based testing.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps environments.
- Experience in integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
