Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join a dynamic, technology-led organization on a fully remote contract basis. The ideal candidate will leverage their strong Java and Spring Boot expertise to design and enhance scalable backend systems in a high-volume engineering environment. This role involves collaborating closely with a skilled engineering team to deliver high-quality and reliable backend solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance microservice-based applications.
- Develop and integrate secure, reliable REST APIs.
- Support the performance, reliability, and scalability of high-volume systems.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Troubleshoot backend issues and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers and technical stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven backend development experience within a microservices environment.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs.
- Experience working with high-volume, scalable systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to produce clean, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Confidence to work independently in a fast-paced remote engineering environment.
- Experience in iGaming, betting, or FinTech is highly advantageous.
