Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sanity Developer for a fully remote, three-month contract position. The successful candidate will have a strong background in front-end development and extensive experience with Sanity CMS, as they will work on a large-scale rebuild project transitioning from Drupal to Sanity. The role involves designing and implementing content models and various integrations to enhance content management and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive Sanity content model and configure the Studio.
- Create structured content for over 200 services, locations, and resources.
- Design and implement editorial workflows and roles for internationalisation.
- Lead the Drupal to Sanity content migration process.
- Build front-end templates and components adhering to WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
- Integrate various platforms including HubSpot, Salesforce, and GA4.
- Implement AI search functionalities and guided wayfinding within Sanity.
- Manage the CI pipeline, conduct sprint demos, and troubleshoot defects in Jira.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in building full-stack web applications.
- Demonstrated experience with at least two production Sanity.io projects.
- Hands-on expertise in content modelling, GROQ, and custom input components with Sanity.io.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing headless architectures.
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React/Node.js, or Next.js.
- Experience with clean content migrations and rendering strategies (SSR/ISR).
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and Core Web Vitals.
- Ability to manage multilingual content in Sanity with document-level translation.
