Site Manager

Overview

The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing site operations for Solar and Battery Energy Storage projects, ensuring successful project delivery from construction to commissioning. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Site Manager will manage project programmes, budgets, and compliance standards while ensuring that all operations align with health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations. This role is integral to maintaining project timelines and fostering effective communication between stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage site operations for Solar and Battery Energy Storage projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee project programmes, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Support Quantity Surveyors with financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure quality assurance.
  • Manage the commissioning, testing, and handover processes to operations teams.
  • Implement risk management strategies for project issues.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in site management.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects from construction to commissioning.
  • SMSTS certificate required.
  • Strong understanding of CDM regulations and HSQE standards.
  • Experience in managing project budgets and cost control.
  • Knowledge of UK planning, grid connection, and renewable energy regulations.
  • Experience with project risk management and mitigation strategies.
