Site Manager

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee civil engineering, water, and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role involves managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Site Manager will work collaboratively with site personnel, subcontractors, and project teams to maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance throughout the project duration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day site operations to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate site activities, including labor, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation including site diaries and progress reports.
  • Produce regular progress updates for senior management and project teams.
  • Supervise site personnel and manage subcontractors effectively.
  • Liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to facilitate project success.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure all required safety procedures are followed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing water treatment projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and engineering principles.
  • Experience overseeing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations and health and safety legislation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Essential certifications: SMSTS, EUSR SHEA Water, EUSR National Water Hygiene, First Aid at Work, CSCS Card.
  • Desirable qualifications: HNC/HND in a related field, Temporary Works Coordinator Certification, IOSH Managing Safely, NRSWA Supervisor Qualification.
