Overview
This role involves working as a Software Architect / Tech Lead focused on AI and product innovation within a dynamic software development organization. The contractor will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers, to guide the architecture and development of advanced AI-powered products. With an emphasis on hands-on leadership, the contractor will define technical direction and standards while mentoring engineering teams and driving modern AI technology adoption.
Responsibilities
- Define architecture, engineering standards, and technical direction across multiple products and platforms.
- Lead the design and development of scalable cloud-native applications and AI-driven solutions.
- Remain hands-on with software development, code reviews, technical problem solving, and prototyping.
- Drive adoption of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
- Conduct technology evaluations, build-vs-buy assessments, and architectural reviews.
- Mentor engineering teams and promote engineering best practices related to security and scalability.
- Support strategic technical decision-making and shape the future technology roadmap.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
- Proven experience leading the delivery of enterprise-scale software products and cloud platforms.
- Strong background in modern software architecture and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience building and operating production-grade AI applications.
- Expertise in technologies such as Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Scala, Node.js, and React.
- Strong cloud experience in AWS and/or Azure.
- Experience with AI technologies including LLMs and Multi-Agent Systems.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
