Overview
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong focus on data and integration to lead a collateral management platform upgrade at a major Irish bank. This role emphasizes the assessment and establishment of the bank's data architecture, requiring close collaboration with various technical, data, and business teams within the bank and with the software vendor. The engagement is primarily client-facing and remote, with occasional on-site workshops in Dublin.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a comprehensive interface inventory covering upstream feeds and downstream consumers.
- Trace collateral data through the data warehouse and integration layers to downstream reports and datasets.
- Assess the impact of data model changes introduced by the platform upgrade on downstream systems.
- Define the target data and integration architecture for the upgraded platform in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Contribute to the data migration strategy and implementation approach.
- Document data lineage, transformation logic, and dependencies in collaboration with data analysts.
- Lead bank-side connectivity and API integration activities for the SaaS proof of concept.
- Identify key technical risks and provide technical input to the upgrade path recommendation.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Solution Architect, Data Architect, or Integration Architect within banking or financial services.
- Strong hands-on data expertise, including advanced SQL and data lineage tracing.
- Experience in delivering data migrations, platform upgrades, or SaaS migrations within a banking environment.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, including APIs and messaging.
- Experience with cloud or SaaS services through banking security assessments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Desirable experience with collateral management or lending platforms and regulatory reporting frameworks.
