Overview
We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join a major global technology transformation programme focused on implementing a new Order Management System (OMS) using Manhattan Active WMS. In this contract role, the successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners to ensure the design, integration, and delivery of a scalable and robust OMS solution that aligns with global technology standards and business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the solutions architecture design for the implementation of a new global Order Management System.
- Define and document end-to-end solution architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements and global technology standards.
- Provide architectural expertise across the Manhattan Active platform and its integration into the wider enterprise ecosystem.
- Design integration strategies between OMS, Manhattan Active WMS, ERP, warehouse, logistics and third-party systems.
- Translate complex business requirements into functional and technical architecture designs.
- Identify architectural risks, dependencies and technical challenges, providing recommendations and mitigation strategies.
- Support design governance, technical workshops, solution reviews and implementation activities.
- Provide architectural oversight throughout the build, testing, deployment and go-live phases.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Solutions Architect within large-scale supply chain, logistics or retail technology transformation programmes.
- Strong experience with Manhattan Active WMS.
- Experience designing and delivering Order Management Systems (OMS).
- Strong understanding of global order management, warehouse management, fulfilment and distribution processes.
- Experience designing complex enterprise system integrations.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, middleware, integration patterns and data architecture.
- Ability to engage with both senior business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Proven experience taking solutions from initial design through to implementation and deployment.
