Overview
We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect for an initial 3-month remote contract role focusing on delivering critical digital services for a public sector organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and will work closely with established delivery teams to design and implement technical solutions, address integration challenges, and translate architecture into actionable engineering tasks across various platforms and services.
Responsibilities
- Produce solution designs, architecture diagrams, and low-level technical designs for prioritized workstreams.
- Design reusable APIs and service integrations while enhancing existing platforms.
- Define technical requirements, dependencies, and acceptance criteria for engineering tickets.
- Support technical migrations, ensuring compliance with data, network, and security requirements.
- Progress architecture assurance and governance submissions, providing technical oversight throughout implementation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect with a strong software engineering background.
- Expertise in API design, system integration, and cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with extending existing platforms and planning technical migrations.
- Understanding of data architecture, networking, and security considerations.
- Ability to translate architectural designs into practical engineering deliverables.
- Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
