Static Equipment Engineer

Overview

The Static Equipment Engineer will play a crucial role in the development of design basis and technical specifications, while proactively managing vendor technical interfaces and collaborating across disciplines. This contract position is focused on ensuring compliance with engineering codes, standards, and quality assurance policies, ultimately contributing to the successful execution of projects within the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review design calculations for pressure vessels and tanks.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications.
  • Conduct inter-disciplinary delivery checks.
  • Review vendor bids for compliance with applicable standards.
  • Prepare technical reports for equipment orders ensuring vendor compliance.
  • Provide project technical support and participate in risk assessments and design reviews.
  • Communicate with other disciplines to optimize design development interfaces.
  • Coordinate design efforts to support materials requisitions and ensure compliance with specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent; chartered status preferred.
  • 10-15 years of experience in oil and gas industry petrochemical projects.
  • Good knowledge of relevant local and international standards.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Dedication to safety and driving results.
