Subsea Production Systems Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a qualified Subsea Production Systems Engineer on a contract basis to join our Subsea and Pipelines team. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in the design and delivery of subsea production systems, supporting various phases including installation, commissioning, and operational activities. This role focuses on both traditional oil and gas projects as well as energy transition initiatives like Carbon Capture and Underground Storage (CCUS).

Responsibilities

  • Define subsea production system equipment and architecture for concept and FEED studies.
  • Contribute to the selection process for field layout and architecture.
  • Conduct specialist studies for system expansion, life extension, and fault rectification.
  • Manage design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of subsea systems and equipment.
  • Support daily operations and system integrity management.
  • Interface with engineering teams and manage technical interfaces with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical reports as necessary.
  • Engage with clients to ensure project alignment and address technical queries as needed.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in subsea production systems and control technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of subsea codes and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with subsea control systems, umbilicals, and hydraulic components.
  • Understanding of Subsea XT hardware and associated standards like API 17D/6A.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical analysis reports and calculations.
  • Experience in front-end engineering (FEED) for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering and commissioning subsea production systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
