Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Architect for a crucial contract role in a transformative technology program. The architect will work closely with the CTO and the engineering team to lead the architectural overhaul of legacy systems into a modern AI-first SaaS platform, ensuring its seamless integration into a complex operational ecosystem that encompasses various applications and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops with business and technology stakeholders to understand operational processes and requirements.
- Map the AS-IS business processes and technology landscape, including legacy systems and integrations.
- Translate business requirements into a clear TO-BE architecture and technical blueprint.
- Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs) and supporting architectural artefacts.
- Design the integration architecture across various operational systems and platforms.
- Drive the transition towards a modern Azure and event-driven architecture.
- Define data flows into the wider data ecosystem, ensuring architectural standards are met.
- Provide technical assurance on functionality, scalability, and security of proposed solutions.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Technical Architect, Systems Architect, or Solutions Architect.
- Proven track record in designing architecture for core system replacement or transformation programs.
- Experience translating business processes and requirements into technical architecture and HLD.
- Knowledge of Azure architecture and experience with event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with legacy ESB environments and transitional integration architectures.
- Understanding of modern data architectures, such as Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience collaborating with SaaS vendors and providing technical assurance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop leadership skills.
