Overview
This role offers an experienced Technical Business Analyst the chance to contribute significantly to a large-scale AI and data transformation programme. The contractor will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data initiatives while ensuring adherence to data governance standards. As the focal point for defining technical specifications and mapping requirements, the role is vital for driving business adoption of data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct data validation and quality assurance for data initiatives.
- Define and document high-level process taxonomies and the conceptual data model across impacted business areas.
- Produce detailed test scripts, scenarios, and Given-When-Then acceptance criteria.
- Run UAT cycles with operational SMEs, balancing programme timelines and BAU commitments.
- Gather and maintain a central set of business definitions and taxonomy for operational data.
- Build agreed definitions into BAU processes and governance documentation.
- Partner with operational leaders to promote adoption of data standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst on data migration or transformation projects.
- Solid experience in data transformation programmes from requirement definition to business adoption.
- Familiarity with AI initiatives related to data preparation for AI and machine learning applications.
- Strong background in designing UAT frameworks and writing test scripts with acceptance criteria.
- Experience in capturing process taxonomies and building data dictionaries.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in high-pressure finance environments.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies using Jira and Confluence.
- Desirable experience with enterprise reporting frameworks and SQL or BI tools like Databricks.
