Overview
The Solutions Architect will design systems and cloud architecture for various client projects while serving as the technical advisor during initial client consultations. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineers and designers to ensure that technical approaches align with client needs and project goals. Working primarily in a remote capacity, the contractor may also occasionally attend client site meetings for workshops and discussions.
Responsibilities
- Design systems and cloud architecture for client projects.
- Collaborate with clients to ascertain their technical requirements.
- Guide engineering teams on implementation of designed systems.
- Build proofs of concept to validate early ideas.
- Review technical decisions, ensuring considerations of security and performance.
- Estimate and scope new work based on client requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a solutions architect or similar role in commercial projects.
- Demonstrated experience in designing cloud architecture for production systems, preferably on AWS.
- Direct experience working with clients to determine project specifications.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with production coding in TypeScript, Python, or Node is advantageous.
- Experience with technical reviews and project scoping.
