Overview
In this role, the Solutions Architect will design systems and cloud architecture for client projects, acting as the technical voice during client interactions. The contractor will collaborate closely with delivery and product teams, and guide engineering teams in implementing the designed solutions, ensuring they meet client needs and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Design systems and cloud architecture for client projects.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and shape the technical approach.
- Guide engineering teams on implementing designed solutions.
- Build proofs of concept to validate ideas early in the project lifecycle.
- Review technical decisions on live projects, including security considerations.
- Assist in estimating new work and project scope.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or equivalent role with a focus on system design in commercial projects.
- Proficiency in designing cloud architecture for production systems, preferably on AWS.
- Experience working directly with clients to define project deliverables.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with programming in TypeScript, Python, or Node is a plus.
- Experience in conducting technical reviews across multiple teams is beneficial.
- Background in consultancy or agency work, especially in pre- and post-sales activities is advantageous.
