Overview
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing systems and cloud architectures for client projects while acting as a technical advisor during client discussions. Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, the contractor will guide technical projects from conception through to delivery, ensuring alignment with client needs and desired outcomes. This role requires engagement with various stakeholders, including non-technical clients, to facilitate understanding and agreement on project deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Design systems and cloud architecture for client projects.
- Work with clients to determine their technical requirements and shape the project approach.
- Guide engineering teams in the implementation of designed systems.
- Build proofs of concept to validate project ideas early on.
- Review technical decisions on ongoing projects, focusing on aspects like security.
- Assist in estimating new work based on project needs and complexities.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing systems in commercial projects as a solutions architect or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing cloud architecture for production systems, preferably on AWS.
- Direct experience working with clients to finalize project specifications.
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, such as product owners and clients.
- Familiarity with production coding in TypeScript, Python, or Node.js is advantageous.
- Experience conducting technical reviews across multiple teams and involvement in large-scale replatforming or data migration projects is a plus.
