Overview
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing systems and cloud architecture for client projects, ensuring that technical solutions meet client needs. The role involves early engagement with clients, guiding engineering teams, and reviewing technical decisions throughout the project cycle. Collaboration with diverse project teams, including engineers and designers, is fundamental to delivering successful digital products across various sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design systems and cloud architecture for client projects.
- Work with clients to understand their needs and shape technical approaches.
- Guide engineering teams on implementation of designed solutions.
- Build proofs of concept to validate early ideas.
- Review technical decisions on live projects, ensuring security and compliance.
- Assist in estimating new work based on client requirements.
- Engage in pre- and post-sales activities as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a solutions architect or equivalent role in commercial projects.
- Expertise in designing cloud architecture for production systems, preferably on AWS.
- Strong client-facing skills to facilitate agreement on project scopes.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with production coding in TypeScript, Python, or Node is a plus.
- Experience with technical reviews across multiple teams and managing project scopes.
- Background in consultancy or agency work is beneficial.
