Overview
The Technical Lead - Propulsion Integration will provide essential technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of propulsion system requirements throughout the product lifecycle. This role encompasses systems engineering principles to define, integrate, and validate complex propulsion solutions while managing technical interfaces across various vehicle domains. Working collaboratively with multiple teams, the Technical Lead will focus on programme execution, risk management, and engineering excellence to meet performance, cost, and timing objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead integration and delivery of propulsion system software, controls, and calibration activities across vehicle programmes.
- Ensure alignment between hardware, software, controls and system requirements to achieve propulsion performance and vehicle attribute targets.
- Coordinate software release planning and deployment activities against programme milestones and gateway deliverables.
- Manage cross-functional collaboration between controls, calibration, systems, validation and commodity engineering teams.
- Lead propulsion verification and validation activities including MIL, SIL, HIL, vehicle-level testing and sign-off events.
- Drive root cause investigation and resolution of vehicle integration, software, calibration and controls-related issues.
- Manage functional integration and validation of propulsion features including regenerative braking, torque delivery, and thermal control strategies.
- Track programme timelines, budgets and deliverables to support successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Strong experience within Propulsion System Engineering.
- Proven project management capability.
- Relevant propulsion domain experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ownership mindset.
- Experience using AGILE JIRA and 3Dx.
- Familiarity with SAP and proficient with Microsoft tools.
- Strong systems engineering knowledge.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
