Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join a product-focused engineering team within the iGaming sector, specializing in scalable, cloud-based applications. In this fully remote role, the contractor will provide hands-on technical leadership, manage stakeholder relationships, and guide engineering teams in delivering high-quality solutions. You will work closely with various teams to shape technical direction and ensure effective communication across different levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and direction across engineering teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Lead technical discussions, design sessions, and architecture decision-making.
- Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead, Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, development practices, and testing methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions and influence technical decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience mentoring and supporting other engineers.
