Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a global retail client on a contract basis. The successful candidate will collaborate with data teams to enhance data analytics capabilities, focusing on both optimization of existing data processes and the development of new data builds.
Responsibilities
- Develop data models and architecture for analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements.
- Implement data processing frameworks and pipelines in modern data stacks.
- Optimize existing data systems for performance and reliability.
- Utilize advanced SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Engage with cloud technologies, specifically GCP, for data storage and processing.
Requirements
- Strong experience in data engineering with a focus on analytics.
- Proficiency in advanced SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with modern data stacks including dbt, cloud warehouses, and BI tools such as Looker.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Ability to manage both optimization and new data builds effectively.
