Overview
We are seeking an experienced Test Architect with a focus on non-functional and performance testing to support a major transformation programme within a financial services organisation. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in defining and implementing a comprehensive testing strategy, working collaboratively with various stakeholders to integrate testing practices early in the project lifecycle and establish a robust testing culture across the company.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement company-wide testing strategy, standards, and processes for non-functional and performance testing.
- Establish and embed testing processes and governance within the organisation.
- Work proactively to move testing earlier in the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with senior technical and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and influence testing practices.
- Identify problems and develop solutions to enhance testing practices.
- Provide strategic direction while maintaining practical application of standards during project delivery.
- Promote a stronger testing culture across the organisation through best practices and standards.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in non-functional and performance testing.
- Proven background as a Test Architect or in a similar senior testing role.
- Strong expertise in defining testing strategies and organisational standards.
- Experience in establishing testing processes and governance from the ground up.
- Solid understanding of performance, scalability, resilience, and capacity testing.
- Ability to engage with senior technical and business stakeholders effectively.
- Proactive and hands-on approach to problem identification and solution development.
- Experience within complex enterprise environments.
