Overview
The Contract ATE Test Engineer will play a vital role in building, integrating, and commissioning production final test stations. Working closely with production and engineering teams, the contractor will engage in hands-on activities that involve both hardware assembly and LabVIEW software development to ensure the efficiency and reliability of test operations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and commission a production ATE rack, including power supplies and measurement hardware.
- Integrate fixture interfaces, barcode scanners, and DUT connection harnesses.
- Perform cable routing, labelling, and basic electrical verification checks.
- Fit and align test fixtures while ensuring design-for-maintenance improvements.
- Develop and debug the LabVIEW production test application, focusing on core functionalities.
- Implement test data logging and production reporting mechanisms.
- Cover various component testing including digital I/O and communications protocols.
- Debug integration issues to support smooth pilot builds and manufacturing handover.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automated test equipment development.
- Strong skills in National Instruments LabVIEW development.
- Hands-on experience with electrical hardware debug and instrumentation testing.
- Ability to integrate power supplies and various measurement equipment.
- Comfortable working independently on-site with production teams.
- Strong documentation and structured fault-finding skills.
