Overview
The Test Manager will play a crucial role in the Ceded Outwards Reinsurance Transformation team, focusing on technology implementation testing for the Global Ceded function. This position involves close collaboration with various stakeholders including senior Ceded Reinsurance SMEs, data and enterprise architects, and delivery teams, while reporting to both project and product leadership. The Test Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing the testing strategy and execution for a complex transformation program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the overall program test strategy and master test plan.
- Coordinate and execute applicable testing phases, including system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Lead the development and review of test scenarios, cases, and documentation.
- Monitor day-to-day execution of testing activities and track progress against the test plan.
- Establish and manage the defect management and triage process.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and ensure appropriate test coverage across business functions.
- Provide regular reporting on testing progress and readiness to project and program leadership.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end testing in complex technology or transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of various testing types including integration, regression, and UAT.
- Experience managing test dependencies involving environments, data, and third-party solutions.
- Proven ability to coordinate teams across geographies and time zones.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting on testing issues and risks.
- Strong attention to documentation and delivery accountability.
- Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools, as well as writing basic SQL queries.
