Overview
The Test Tools Administrator will oversee the configuration, governance, and daily operations of testing tools utilized by multiple project teams. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and consistency of test, defect, and risk information in Jira and Azure DevOps, thereby facilitating smooth processes for users. Collaborating with various stakeholders, the administrator will enhance tool reliability and trusted reporting throughout the project duration.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain workflows for test, defect, risk, and reporting in Jira and Azure DevOps.
- Enforce standards for fields, statuses, templates, and data traceability.
- Manage user access, roles, permissions, and project structures in the tools.
- Support data migrations, integrations, and quality control processes.
- Produce dashboards and reports detailing testing progress and trends.
- Provide guidance and training to users on tool utilization and best practices.
- Maintain accurate configuration documentation and change controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize usability while maintaining compliance with processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Jira or Azure DevOps administrator or similar ALM tools.
- Understanding of test management and defect workflows.
- Experience in handling multiple projects and reporting needs in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of tool integrations, APIs, and reporting functionalities is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
