Overview
We are looking for a Senior User Researcher to join a project focused on developing a significant capability to address challenges related to synthetic media and deepfake technologies. This role involves leading user-centered design activities, engaging with various stakeholders across government, industry, and academia, and ensuring that user research informs the development of an emerging service intended to enhance understanding and responses to synthetic media threats. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape user experience and contribute to innovative solutions in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead user-centered design activities to define user interactions with the service.
- Conduct user research with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia.
- Create and validate personas, user journeys, and user stories to inform design.
- Gather and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate user needs into actionable product features and development priorities.
- Plan and facilitate user testing sessions to gather feedback.
- Analyze user insights and iterate designs accordingly.
- Support the alignment of product roadmaps and service enhancements with various teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in User-Centered Design, User Research, UX, or Product Design roles.
- Experience delivering digital services within the public sector or regulated environments.
- Strong user research and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Ability to create personas, user journeys, service blueprints, and user stories.
- Experience conducting user testing and translating findings into product improvements.
- Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and visual communication skills.
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of GDS standards and government digital services is desirable.
