Overview
The Workday Data Lead is a contract position focusing on overseeing the data workstream for a Phase 2 Workday project, lasting until January 2027. This role requires a skilled individual who will coordinate data migration and deployment activities, ensuring collaboration across business and technical teams to achieve high-quality project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Workday Data workstream across Phase 2 project and deployment activities.
- Own and coordinate Workday data migration, conversion, and deployment activities.
- Define and manage data requirements, mapping, transformation, and validation.
- Collaborate closely with Workday functional leads, technical teams, business stakeholders, and project leadership.
- Oversee data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and reconciliation activities.
- Support Workday deployments through testing, cutover, and go-live.
- Develop and manage data migration plans, timelines, dependencies, and risks.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and completeness throughout the project.
Requirements
- Significant Workday Data experience is essential.
- Strong experience in Workday projects, implementations, and/or deployments.
- Proven experience leading Workday data migration/conversion activities.
- Strong understanding of Workday data structures and processes.
- Experience managing data through the full project lifecycle, from design to deployment.
- Ability to work with multiple Workday stakeholders and cross-functional project teams.
- Strong project delivery and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
