Overview
The Azure Application Architect will play a crucial role in an IT transformation initiative by designing and implementing solution architectures that align with business objectives. Working closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and vendors, the architect will blend audit expertise with advanced cloud technologies to enhance Audit Quality while simplifying processes for users. This position requires a hands-on approach to application architecture with experience in both pro-code and low-code development environments.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain extensive Azure Cloud and DevOps architecture and solution design skills.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the technology ecosystem, including applications and technologies that support Audit.
- Create and develop relevant documents, including reference architecture, roadmaps, and other key architecture artifacts.
- Collaborate with Cloud engineering teams to ensure alignment of architectural solutions with business goals.
- Identify business/project risks and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
- Ensure that product roadmaps align with the Audit strategy and the Firm's Digital Strategy.
- Mentor and coach junior colleagues as necessary.
- Maintain a high level of awareness of emerging technology trends and their impact on business.
Requirements
- Proven expert knowledge of Cloud architecture design, specifically in Azure.
- Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and Cloud integration technologies.
- Experience with cloud monitoring, orchestration management, and DevSecOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of Enterprise and Solution Architecture roles.
- Understanding of project management concepts and the ability to navigate project risks and dependencies.
- Experience working in both onshore and offshore project teams.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and provide clarity during project inception stages.
