Overview
We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic remote team focused on overseeing the configuration and deployment of API Management solutions within the Azure cloud environment. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with infrastructure and application teams to ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of Azure services. This role demands a proactive approach to managing cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing security protocols within innovative cloud projects.
Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and maintain Azure API Management (APIM) solutions to support enterprise applications.
- Configure and manage Azure Firewall policies to ensure secure traffic flow.
- Deploy and support Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), including VNet peering and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
- Maintain and optimize Azure Application Gateway and Web Application Firewall (WAF) for enhanced security.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to deliver integrated Azure services.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for deployed solutions.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of cloud infrastructure components.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure features and best practices to recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Strong background in cloud engineering with expertise in Azure services.
- Proven experience in implementing and supporting Azure API Management (APIM).
- Experience in configuring Azure Firewall and managing virtual networks.
- Solid understanding of network security groups, route tables, and private endpoints.
- Familiarity with Azure Application Gateway and Web Application Firewall (WAF).
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and cloud security principles.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Security Engineer Associate are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
