Overview
The Backend Kotlin Developer will contribute to multiple workstreams within a dynamic sports betting and iGaming business on a contract basis. Working remotely, the contractor will collaborate with teams to develop Kotlin backend services and APIs hosted on AWS, utilizing AI tools to enhance code quality and productivity. This position is ideal for both seasoned contractors and those transitioning from permanent roles in the iGaming sector, with a strong emphasis on compliance and responsible gambling practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop Kotlin backend services and APIs on AWS.
- Collaborate with teams utilizing AI coding tools for code development and testing.
- Implement features related to player accounts, payments, and promotions.
- Ensure compliance with responsible gambling regulations.
- Integrate iGaming functionalities within existing systems.
- Participate in code reviews and bidirectional feedback processes.
- Adapt to various workstreams according to experience and project needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in backend development using Kotlin.
- Familiarity with AWS services and architecture.
- Experience in the iGaming or sports betting industry is preferred.
- Ability to work with AI coding tools in daily tasks.
- Understanding of compliance and responsible gambling practices.
