Overview
The Backend Software Engineer will focus on building systems that capture, process, and expose critical commercial and performance data to support business decision-making. In this role, the engineer will collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Analytics teams to manage and integrate data flows efficiently, ensuring that the systems effectively process commercial data. The position offers a chance to directly influence business outcomes through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement backend systems to capture and process commercial data.
- Integrate external partners and internal systems for streamlined data management.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers on reporting requirements and player performance data.
- Manage data flows to ensure accuracy and reliability in business intelligence outputs.
- Assist in the maintenance and optimization of databases and data processing workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience in backend development with PHP and Python.
- Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL databases.
- Background in backend engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with data integration and management in a commercial setting.
- Familiarity with data processing frameworks like Airflow is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS and data warehousing solutions like Snowflake is advantageous.
