Overview
We are seeking an experienced Python / SQL Engineer to join a team focused on developing and supporting solutions in a regulated IT security environment. This role requires collaboration with IT security specialists to ensure compliance and efficiency in database management and reporting. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Python and SQL to enhance security solutions while troubleshooting issues that arise in a highly sensitive context.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions using Python and SQL.
- Support database management and reporting in a regulated environment.
- Optimize SQL queries for improved performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database and application performance.
- Document processes and solutions to support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in ad hoc travel as required to meet project needs.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Python and SQL.
- Advanced SQL skills including query optimization, data analysis, and reporting.
- Practical knowledge of Active Directory (AD).
- Experience in regulated IT/security environments.
- Familiarity with PAM solutions like CyberArk and/or Delinea.
- Understanding of IAM, RBAC, and just-in-time (JIT) access.
- Proficiency with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar tools for source control and release management.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
