Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer for a 3-month contract role, focused on supporting a technology-driven ecommerce business. The contractor will work on-site in Coventry, collaborating with internal teams to ensure the smooth operation of business-critical systems within a modern Microsoft environment. This role offers the opportunity to engage in hands-on technical work, addressing both infrastructure and end-user support needs while delivering key projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide support across 1st - 3rd line, resolving infrastructure and end-user issues.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft environments, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
- Support Hyper-V virtualised environments.
- Deliver infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and improvements.
- Monitor system performance to ensure stability, availability, and security.
- Support end-user hardware, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain clear technical documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments including Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiarity with Hyper-V and virtualisation technologies.
- Ability to manage and deliver infrastructure projects.
- Experience in troubleshooting infrastructure and end-user issues.
- Knowledge of technical documentation practices.
- DBS clearance required.
