Business Analyst

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-impact divestment program within a global organisation, working fully remotely. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in divestment, carve-outs, and business separation to assess the current operation of a business and determine what is necessary for it to function as an independent entity. The role involves extensive collaboration across various business functions to identify dependencies and support the overall divestment strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse the current state of the business being divested and document its operational dynamics.
  • Identify and assess dependencies between the divested business and the parent organisation.
  • Engage with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Sales, Operations, Legal, IT, and Data.
  • Uncover hidden dependencies and separation requirements through targeted questioning.
  • Define the future state for the standalone business and document necessary processes and requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to support the wider divestment programme.

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst in complex transformation programmes.
  • Previous work on divestment, business separation, or carve-out programmes is highly desirable.
  • Strong M&A experience, specifically involving separation or establishment of standalone business capabilities.
  • Ability to understand business operations holistically, beyond individual systems.
  • Experience with stakeholder management across multiple business functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in engaging remote teams and stakeholders effectively.
