Overview
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on developing an AI platform for a leading investment management firm. In this role, you will leverage your deep AWS expertise to shape and build the foundational architecture that supports multi-account environments and secure, scalable engineering practices. You will work collaboratively with engineering teams to deliver cloud-native solutions while mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of best practices in cloud technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve AWS platform foundations including multi-account architecture and landing zones.
- Drive engineering standards and establish best practices for building and running services.
- Enable automation and cost optimization at scale through infrastructure and policy as code.
- Mentor and support engineers, influencing technical direction and cross-team collaboration.
- Develop the AI platform capability to a production-grade solution, ensuring observability and compliance.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS at a platform level, including designing landing zones and multi-account environments.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform, with strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.
- Proven experience with CI/CD practices, containerization, and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Strong understanding of cloud security and governance, including identity management and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable and resilient AWS solutions in complex environments.
