Overview
The BI Lead will play a crucial role in a major digital transformation project, overseeing the delivery of reporting initiatives and ensuring that data presentations meet stakeholder needs. Working closely with the Head of Data and the BI development team, this position combines leadership with hands-on responsibility in developing dashboards, reports, and data models, while also managing the BI development backlog and prioritizing the workstream effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop a structured BI delivery plan based on program milestones.
- Manage and prioritize the BI development backlog.
- Create Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models as required.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to translate requirements into actionable tasks.
- Manage dependencies between reporting, data migration, and the overall data platform.
- Support UAT, reconciliation, and ensure reporting readiness for go-live.
- Establish and maintain consistent reporting governance, definitions, and standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior BI Developer or in a BI Lead role.
- Strong skills in Power BI, data modeling, and reporting.
- Experience in delivering BI solutions alongside major ERP transformations.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 F&O / CE is a plus.
- Knowledge of ETL processes, reporting governance, and DevOps methodologies.
- Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on project involvement.
- Demonstrated capability to maintain pace and structure in delivery without losing technical engagement.
