Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst for a 2-month contract to support a college project in Cheshire. The ideal candidate will take charge of the data landscape, implementing key performance indicators (KPIs), establishing data governance, and enhancing processes to ensure the function's long-term success. The role requires proactive engagement and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, with a preference for one day a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the data landscape and improve its structure.
- Implement robust key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Establish data governance and define clear processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality and adherence to best practices.
- Utilize SQL, DAX, and Power BI effectively to analyze data.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Support the transition during the analyst handover period.
- Document procedures for future reference and continuity.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, DAX, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with using APIs for data integration.
- Experience with Databridge preferred, but not required.
- Proven ability to work independently and proactively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to implement best practices in data management.
- Prior experience in a similar data analysis role.
