Data Analyst

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst for a 2-month contract to support a college project in Cheshire. The ideal candidate will take charge of the data landscape, implementing key performance indicators (KPIs), establishing data governance, and enhancing processes to ensure the function's long-term success. The role requires proactive engagement and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, with a preference for one day a week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the data landscape and improve its structure.
  • Implement robust key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Establish data governance and define clear processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Utilize SQL, DAX, and Power BI effectively to analyze data.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Support the transition during the analyst handover period.
  • Document procedures for future reference and continuity.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, DAX, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with using APIs for data integration.
  • Experience with Databridge preferred, but not required.
  • Proven ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to implement best practices in data management.
  • Prior experience in a similar data analysis role.
