Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in a high-profile transformation project within a leading London Market insurer. This contract position emphasizes significant ownership in designing and automating scalable data solutions, contributing to the company's growth in Consortium and Facility operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with insurance and business stakeholders to create efficient processes and drive automation across multiple data workflows.
Responsibilities
- Build and automate data processes across Consortium and Facility business.
- Automate bordereaux production, fee calculations, and other insurance data processes.
- Work with data held within SQL Server.
- Understand existing business process flows and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Build appropriate controls and auditability into automated processes.
- Collaborate closely with insurance and business stakeholders.
- Help create a best-in-class, scalable process as the business expands.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Data Engineering background.
- Excellent SQL / SQL Server / T-SQL skills.
- Previous experience in Lloyd's / London Market insurance.
- Proven ability to automate manual business/data processes successfully.
- Strong understanding of data flows and ETL.
- Experience with Consortium, Facility, bordereaux, Delegated Authority, or Coverholder data.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Python, and/or PowerShell is beneficial.
