Overview
We are seeking a Data Engineer with a strong background in the GCP stack to support a growing ecommerce business. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to build and maintain data pipelines while creating dashboards and reports. Experience in ecommerce or retail is essential, and familiarity with tools such as SQL, GCP, and BigQuery is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines to support business analytics.
- Create dashboards and reports to provide insights across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements.
- Ensure data quality and reliability in all data processes.
- Implement data governance best practices to maintain integrity.
- Optimize data systems for performance and scalability.
- Utilize SQL and BigQuery for data manipulation and analysis.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in an ecommerce or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with LookML and reporting tools such as Looker is beneficial.
- Experience in building data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Understanding of data governance principles and practices.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting, with 2 days onsite per week.
