Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Lead to oversee the data workstream within a business transformation program. This role requires a hands-on subject matter expert (SME) who thrives in an independent working environment, engaging deeply with data-related tasks while collaborating with system specialists and implementation partners to drive results.
Responsibilities
- Define the master data strategy and establish a single source of truth.
- Perform data quality, cleansing, validation, and migration-readiness activities.
- Establish practical data governance, standards, ownership, and controls.
- Identify data issues, resolve problems, and drive decisions with business SMEs.
- Manage data risks, dependencies, and progress across the workstream.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to align on data strategy and execution.
- Lead data workstreams within transformation or systems implementation projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data governance and master data management.
- Strong background in data quality, cleansing, validation, and migration processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead data workstreams independently during transformation initiatives.
- Experience in stakeholder management across both business and technical teams.
- Familiarity with ERP, manufacturing, hire, or service-based environments.
- Ability to transition between strategic planning and detailed implementation.
