Overview
We are seeking a Contract Software Developer to join a dynamic engineering team within a technology-led organization. The role involves hands-on development work focusing on backend services, microservices, and data-intensive applications, emphasizing performance and scalability. Candidates will engage closely with Product Owners, Engineering, and Testing teams to deliver high-quality, robust solutions using technologies such as C#, Golang, and SQL Server in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop highly efficient, robust, and maintainable applications and backend services.
- Build and enhance services using C#/.NET and Golang.
- Work extensively with SQL Server.
- Support and improve existing business-critical functionality.
- Collaborate within a microservices architecture.
- Identify technical improvements and contribute ideas for new solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineering, and Testing throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Demonstrable commercial experience in Golang development.
- Strong knowledge of C#/.NET.
- Experience with MS SQL Server.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Proficient in Git/version control.
- Experience working with high-volume or data-intensive systems.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with Kafka, Linux, cloud/web technologies is advantageous; WPF exposure is beneficial.
