Overview
The DevOps Engineer will operate as a Site Reliability Engineer for a leading Government client, focusing on infrastructure and service reliability in a high-security environment. The role involves working predominantly onsite, collaborating with various teams to enhance system performance and ensure service continuity. This position is suitable for those with DV clearance and offers competitive day rates.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, Chef, or similar tools.
- Implement and manage containerization solutions with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor system performance and reliability using InfluxDB, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Administer and optimize relational databases and SQL.
- Ensure security protocols are adhered to within the network environment.
- Work with cloud hosting services such as AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
- Must possess DV clearance.
- Experience with Ansible, Chef, or similar automation tools.
- Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or AMQP solutions.
- Strong background in relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
- Working knowledge of cloud hosting services, preferably AWS.
