Overview
The role of EC&I Design Engineer involves providing support in engineering projects at various sites in Cumbria, including Sellafield. The successful contractor will collaborate with Senior Designers to produce and update engineering drawings, assist with documentation, and conduct site surveys, leveraging their expertise in electrical and instrumentation design.
Responsibilities
- Produce and update EC&I drawings using CAD software.
- Carry out CAD drafting and modifications as per engineering specifications.
- Attend site at Sellafield for technical surveys and information gathering.
- Review and update existing drawings to reflect actual site conditions.
- Assist with the creation of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Support the preparation of as-built drawings and related documentation.
- Liaise with Senior Designers and site engineers for drawing clarifications.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of all drawings with project standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an EC&I, Electrical CAD, or similar role.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
- Experience in producing or modifying technical drawings.
- Ability to interpret and utilize existing engineering documentation.
- Willingness to conduct site surveys at operational environments.
- Must be based in Cumbria.
- Active SC Clearance required.
