Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join an innovative telematics technology business on a long-term project. The successful candidate will work on modern, cloud-based technology and be part of an expanding engineering team, collaborating remotely with a focus on scalable, event-driven applications. This role offers the flexibility of fully remote work with a strong likelihood of contract extension.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, event-driven applications using Java and Micronaut.
- Implement data streaming solutions, particularly utilizing Kafka.
- Create and enhance user interfaces with Angular.
- Utilize AWS for cloud services and deployment.
- Incorporate AI-assisted coding tools and techniques into the development process.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to follow modern engineering practices.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java programming.
- Proficiency in Micronaut, with experience in Spring Boot considered.
- Experience with data streaming technologies, especially Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end development.
- Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure.
- Proven ability with AI-assisted coding tools and techniques, specifically Claude Code.
- Knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Cucumber is a plus.
