Overview
We are seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to support a global B2B SaaS organization in a critical greenfield platform build. The role focuses on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), serverless architecture, and AWS technologies, requiring strong expertise in automation and security. This position involves collaborating with multiple teams and owning technical solutions from design to delivery, making it essential for candidates to communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, scalable AWS serverless infrastructure.
- Develop automation tools and workflow orchestration using Python and TypeScript.
- Implement complex workflows with AWS services such as Step Functions and Lambda.
- Maintain IaC using AWS CDK, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Document systems and technical decisions accurately.
- Support incident response and manage post-incident improvements.
- Reduce technical debt and improve operational maturity.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS development and production environments.
- Proficient in AWS Lambda (Python & TypeScript) and Step Functions.
- Strong knowledge of DynamoDB, EventBridge, and API Gateway.
- Experience with IAM roles, permission boundaries, and OIDC-based identity flows.
- Skilled in IaC tools like CDK, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating technical decisions.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and provide clear updates.
- Strong security and compliance mindset in all designs and implementations.
