Overview
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Python Developer for a fully remote six-month contract, focused on delivering features for our client's B2B SaaS product aimed at home energy brands. The successful candidate will collaborate with an Engineering Lead and a Product Owner to translate designs into production features, leveraging AI-assisted development. This role emphasizes autonomy and ownership over feature delivery within a defined tech stack.
Responsibilities
- Build production features across the full stack using TypeScript, React, Python, and REST APIs from design handoff through deployment.
- Translate production-ready designs and written specs into functional features that align with design intent.
- Maintain and extend the existing codebase according to established patterns and component libraries.
- Independently manage the full lifecycle of assigned work from development to deployment.
- Utilize Claude Code for planning and developing to achieve high build velocity.
- Ensure AI-generated code is clean, maintainable, and integrated with the existing architecture.
- Contribute to evolving AI development practices including specs, prompts, and review workflows.
- Work with AWS services such as Athena, S3, and DynamoDB to support end-to-end feature delivery.
Requirements
- Several years of professional full stack engineering experience, especially in early-stage builds.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services like Athena, S3, and DynamoDB.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React, particularly with components, hooks, and state management.
- Experience with Python for backend services and APIs.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and data modeling.
- Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools like Claude Code for production work.
