Overview
The GCP Test Engineer will play a crucial role in a significant cloud transformation project within the UK public sector. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that cloud platforms, infrastructure, and services are secure, resilient, and ready for operational use, leveraging their expertise in Google Cloud and related technologies.
Responsibilities
- Test cloud platforms, infrastructure, integrations, and deployments.
- Support automated testing and CI/CD quality practices.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and non-functional testing.
- Test APIs and Kubernetes/containerized platforms.
- Analyze defects and support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to quality, resilience, and operational assurance.
Requirements
- Strong Test Engineering experience within cloud environments.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ideally Google Distributed Cloud.
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- API and integration testing experience.
- Experience working within secure, regulated, or government environments.
- Python/scripting experience is desirable.
- Must hold active UK Security Clearance (SC) or be eligible to obtain it and willing to undergo DV clearance.
