Overview
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Lead to join our consultancy team on a contract basis, working with a Central Government client. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of a high-profile project by leading multidisciplinary teams to implement complex digital and data solutions that align with user needs and government standards. You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to facilitate agile processes and ensure effective delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of high-profile central government project, ensuring timelines, scope, and user needs are met.
- Manage and optimise a multidisciplinary team for effective collaboration and performance.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning) to ensure consistent application of Agile practices.
- Identify and remove blockers to maintain team momentum and deliver continuous value.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders, providing transparent reporting on progress, risks, and issues.
- Ensure compliance with government standards and governance, including GDS service standards.
- Drive continuous improvement using data and feedback to enhance delivery approaches.
- Champion user-centred service delivery, ensuring solutions are designed with end-users in mind.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading agile delivery on complex digital or data programmes within the public sector.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
- Demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships.
- Familiarity with government governance processes and GDS service standards.
- Strong planning and delivery management skills, including risk and budget management.
- Ability to navigate complex environments and remove blockers effectively.
- Experience in delivering user-centred services with knowledge of accessibility principles.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing project financials.
