Overview
We are seeking an experienced IAM Consultant / Developer to lead a Microsoft Entra ID migration and implementation project on a 6-month contract basis. This remote role will involve hands-on responsibilities, combining architecture, design, and the practical aspects of delivering identity migrations. The successful candidate will work throughout the entire migration lifecycle, focusing on security, application integration, and operational handover.
Responsibilities
- Assess the existing identity estate across Active Directory and/or third-party IdPs.
- Design the target-state Microsoft Entra ID architecture.
- Plan and execute phased migrations and cutovers.
- Configure Entra Connect / Entra Cloud Sync for hybrid identity.
- Implement Conditional Access, MFA, and passwordless authentication.
- Migrate and configure application SSO.
- Work with SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.
- Troubleshoot authentication and migration issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure AD migration.
- Experience migrating from on-prem Active Directory and/or solutions like Okta, Ping, or ForgeRock.
- Strong knowledge of Conditional Access and Zero Trust principles.
- Thorough understanding of SAML, OAuth, and OIDC protocols.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills, ideally with the Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK.
- Comfortable working independently in a client-facing environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Monitor, and KQL is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as SC-300, SC-100, SC-500, or CISSP are desirable.
