IFS Consultant

Overview

We are looking for an experienced IFS MRP Consultant to join a large-scale transformation programme within the food manufacturing sector. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders in supply chain and manufacturing to design and implement efficient Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes within the IFS system. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that planning processes are scalable and aligned with business needs, primarily through remote work with some required travel to Scotland.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the configuration and optimisation of IFS Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Analyze and improve planning parameters such as lead times, safety stock, and replenishment strategies.
  • Support end-to-end supply chain process improvements in manufacturing and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Planning teams to translate requirements into IFS solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops with key stakeholders and provide functional expertise.
  • Conduct testing, defect resolution, and user training as part of go-live activities.
  • Produce functional documentation and transfer knowledge to internal teams.
  • Evaluate MRP outputs to enhance material availability and minimize stock shortages.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in delivering IFS ERP implementations focused on MRP.
  • Strong functional knowledge of IFS Supply Chain and Manufacturing modules.
  • Experience configuring and optimising MRP, Inventory Management, and Procurement processes.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing planning concepts, including demand and supply planning.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or FMCG sector.
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder management and workshop facilitation.
  • Experience supporting full project lifecycle from design to go-live.
  • Familiarity with IFS Cloud and multi-site manufacturing environments is a plus.
